Touching the Relational Edge
“Touching the Relational Edge – Bodypsychotherapy”, by Dr Asaf Rolef Ben Shahar, a leading clinician and writer in the field of relational body psychotherapy, approaches body psychotherapy through historical, theoretical and clinical perspectives.
It introduces body psychotherapy to psychologists, psychotherapists, and interested others through an attachment based, object relations, and primarily psychoanalytic and relational framework.
Poetry is an important voice in the book and in the work of Asaf. I am proud that he has selected “I was born” from my poetry book “Step into your Life” to figure in “Touching the Relational Edge”, as an introduction to the section on “trauma-based body psychotherapy”. The poem “I was born” was originally written in French and published in “Entre dans la vie”.
